“God will come down to a peninsula in the East.” “Even if both the East and the West are unable to recognize the Holy Saint, human beings are still to be changed. No one can do anything about it.”

Nam Sa-go, also known as Gyeog-am, was a famous Korean clairvoyant who lived in the 16th century. A humble and upright scholar who became a government official, he eventually served as a royal astrologist during the reign of King Seonjo in the Joseon Dynasty. Nam Sa-go authored a prophecy book of 60 chapters titled “Gyeogamyurok,” in which he predicted major historical events in Korea. Many of these predictions concerning the kingdom were verified while he was alive. Their accuracy astonished his fellow scholars. Researchers today believe that Nam Sa-go even accurately predicted Korea’s reunification and peace, interestingly hiding in his verses the word “Panmunjom,” the name of the area where peacemaking has actually occurred in history.

The first well-known copy of “Gyeogamyurok” surfaced in 1977. Then, in a 2004 landmark study, Professor Choe Joong-hyun of Sun Moon University found and compared multiple copies of the book from earlier decades, which further verified the existence of an original version of “Gyeogamyurok.” The most central prophecy in this book concerns the advent of a Savior, who was to appear 500 years after his own time in the East to enlighten and elevate humankind. We were already impressed by the sheer number of details on how, when, and where this Savior would appear. But when we connected them with what we know about our beloved living Savior, Supreme Master Ching Hai, we were utterly amazed. Let’s now begin our exploration of these prophecies by Nam Sa-go.

“The Holy Saint is the chi (essence, energy) in the West coming to the East to save the world. He/She descends from Heaven and appears as a Great Saint. He/She is the Sage-King of the last days.”

Supreme Master Ching Hai came from the highest Heavens to save our world and spiritually elevate humankind in the “last days,” which may be the same period as referred to in many other religions and prophecies as the “end times” or end of a cycle preceding a new one. The “West” here could possibly mean a western region that the Holy Saint had appeared in and blessed with His/Her chi, or energy, in a previous life. Supreme Master Ching Hai has had many past incarnations in the West, and in this lifetime appeared in the East, in Âu Lạc (Vietnam). But in this life as an enlightened Master, Supreme Master Ching Hai did come from the West in Germany, where She had been living. Also, She was from England as a British citizen. She came from the West to the East, namely to Taiwan (Formosa) in Asia, to preach in the beginning of Her mission.

“God will come down to a peninsula in the East.”

Âu Lạc (Vietnam) is indeed part of the geographic peninsula that is also referred to as Mainland Southeast Asia.

“He is a Son of God and a star in the Big Dipper who has received unjustified enmity in the West. After leaving this world, He ascended a height to have a distant view, kept on watching the world, and, at the time of the latter half of the 20th century, came down to the East to resolve all the enmity.”

The Son of God who “received unjustified enmity in the West” may refer to the Worshipped Lord Jesus Christ. Two thousand years ago, this unblemished Lamb of God was unjustly persecuted and punished in the Middle East, which lies to the WEST of eastern Asia. According to this prophecy, after ascending to His Heavenly Abode, Christ returned in the latter half of the 20th century to resolve all enmity with Divine Love. Supreme Master Ching Hai, a living example of forgiveness who cleanses the world’s bad karma with Her unconditional Love, arrived on this Earth plane precisely in the second half of the 20th century: 1950 is Her official birth year.

In his book of prophecies, Nam Sa-go provided more information about the Savior’s appearance in the world, as this was undoubtedly a matter of vital importance to humankind.

“When the chi (essence) of the West runs to the East, in a year with White Tiger fortune, a Taoist priest in the East will be born.”

A Taoist priest is a spiritual practitioner who practices the Tao, the Way of enlightenment. Supreme Master Ching Hai is a Master of the Tao, and we know that Her body was born in the year of the tiger. But what about the “year with White Tiger fortune”? According to the Calendar of Heavenly Stems and Earthly Branches, there was only one year with the White Tiger fortune in the 20th century. And that year was 1950, the official year of Supreme Master Ching Hai’s birth!

“In the West, the Holy Spirit descended as a Gold (element linked to the West) Dove.”

Again, Nam Sa-go seems to be referring to the Savior’s past life as Lord Jesus Christ. The Holy Bible’s Gospel of Matthew states that when Lord Jesus was baptized, “Heaven was opened, and the Holy Spirit descended on Him in a bodily form like a dove.” The Dove is also a symbol of peace and might even refer to Lord Jesus Himself, the Prince of Peace. The Dove, as a bird similar to the Rooster of the Chinese zodiac, could also have been intended as another symbol for the West.

“In the East, the Wood (element linked to the East) Rabbit will be reborn as the Comforter.”

The Rabbit here is another reference to Christ. Lord Jesus promised that after He left, He would send a “Comforter.” Nam Sa-go knew that the Comforter would be Christ Himself reborn as another enlightened Master! The Rabbit is also a Chinese zodiac animal associated with the East.

“The Wood Rabbit (Savior) will be reborn as Chung (a name for the awaited Savior), who is our Divine Master with blood flowing in the Tao.”

Here, Nam Sa-go refers to the Savior with yet another name, Chung. Chung refers to Chung Do Ryung, a Korean name for the awaited Savior. It consists of three characters: Chung, a common surname that also has the same sound as the word for “Righteousness”; Do, meaning the “Tao”; and Ryung, meaning “Ruler.”

“One must pray to climb over the steep slope to save one’s life, and follow the White Tiger (Savior) to walk to the East.”

Here, Nam Sa-go urges us to strive to save our souls by following the White Tiger Savior to the East, meaning we should go in the same direction She goes, the way of enlightenment and eternal liberation.

“Do not ever doubt that the Heavenly Saint will descend from Heaven in the East. If the East fails to recognize the Holy Saint, He will come to be known through people in Western countries such as England and America.”

Countless people in both East and West have recognized Supreme Master Ching Hai as a precious, living enlightened spiritual Master. In addition, governments worldwide have also honored Her for Her spiritual and humanitarian leadership. We can see this in the many awards and other forms of recognition that were presented to Her over the years. In particular, the two countries that Nam Sa-go apparently mentioned, England and America, stand out in their affinities with Supreme Master Ching Hai: England had granted Her citizenship, and the United States officially honored Her the most number of times. It must be noted that in Nam Sa-go’s time 500 years ago, the United States of America did not yet exist. It seems that Nam Sa-go, with his super insight, was able to foresee this young country long before it was established in the 18th century. He referred to America by an old name for it which uses the character “Mi” (米) for “rice.”

“Even if both the East and the West are unable to recognize the Holy Saint, human beings are still to be changed. No one can do anything about it.”

Supreme Master Ching Hai has told us that actually, She did not have to be a spiritual Master renowned in the public eye, because Her real Mission for this lifetime was to elevate all beings.

My real mission? Just to uplift the world’s whole consciousness. Not to be your individual Master. I could do that without being your Master even. But, by the way, we had affinity and you like to come here and sit and… so why not?”

“I prefer to help them [humans] quietly. They don't even need to come to me to get help. I am on the planet. That should be enough already. My intention on the planet this time was not to go out and preach and give initiation. I don't need to do that. I could sit in a cave somewhere and then help, yeah? Just like now, you are not the only ones that##are being liberated and helped. All, the whole world out there! So, 99.7% you met are saints. I don't need to go and talk to people. But I don't know, somehow it happened, so it's fine, it's fine. It's okay.”
